The headlights in my 2007 Dodge 2500 are very poor, especially after driving my daughter's 2016 Toyota with LED headlights. I have aimed them with my 5'er hooked up and my airbags adjusted to keep my TV level. I saw LED H13 bulbs on Amazon reasonabilily priced I am considering. Has anyone tried these LED bulbs? Do you like them?

I don't know that putting LED lights in reflectors that are not designed for them is a good idea. It may be different with cars/trucks but if you do it on a motorcycle it throws the pattern way off. Guys try it but it rarely works out well.But I can't say positively because I've not tried it.

Putting an LED bulb in most Halogen reflectors yields an extremely bright floodlight which puts 90% of its usable light in areas where it cannot be used, and blinds oncoming drivers in the other lane.if you want better lights, make sure there is not excessive voltage drop on the headlight circuit, that the lenses are not cloudy, and you use Phillips extreme +100 or +130 bulbs.LEDs or HIDs installed into halogen reflectors is a Giant ignorant EFF You to everybody on the other side of the road. It has become so prominent that I have installed some high beam assist LED weapons to utilize when I am blinded, so I can return the favor of seared retinas and temporary blindness.The LEDs in your toyota experience were designed around an LED emitter. It is not possible to replicate a filament in an LED, so and LED emitter in a halogen reflector can never focus properly and the beam will likely be horrid and blinding.But like randomly choosing another person's eyeglasses, they might still allow you to see, somewhat.

I had a 2014 corolla and they were great headlights, when I bought my 2017 camary the lights were not so good. I am diabetic and when it rains I can't see the road, so I bought some LEDs for the camry. better but not great either. drove home from Portland oregon the other night and the leds still leave me not seeing that great. I bought 45 watt leds on the advice of people who bought 30 watt and saying they should have bought more wattage than they did. I am going to wait for a few more test drives before I make up my mind to go back to halogen or HID lights

I put LEDs in my 2013 CRV. They are great! No adjustment required. They put the hot spot on the road about 30 feet in front of the car.They do not shine in the rear view mirror of the car in front of me. I went to a large commercial garage door at night to see the pattern. No out of place stray light.Richard

I installed LED bulbs in my stock cans on a 04 f350 and the driving lights, polished the lens too. Much better light now, cept for the light scatter because the stock cans are not designed for led. Over all its much better, not intrusive to other drivers, I've never been flashed. But the long range high beams are poor. Worth it to me, I will buy better cans that work with led bulbs. Cost me $200 installed.

Just bought a 2017 Jeep with the LED headlights. Big improvement over standard lights. I refuse to believe that a $80 bulb replacement equals a $750 set of lights.

The OP has a 2005 RAM 2500 and I don't think he wants to trade it in for a 2017 Jeep just to get a 7 inch round LED headlight. I searched for a year to find the right LED headlights for my RAM 1500. They are adjustable to get the right light beam and with a 50 watt low and 50 watt high beam(100watt total for high) yo can't go wrong. I drive to work and home in the dark, down back roads for a while. With the original lights I needed the fog lights on to see the whole road, since I installed the LEDs a couple months ago I have not turned on the fog lights. I think it was worth $80 to just change the bulbs instead of going to the factory to try and find replacement LED headlamp assemblies that would probably cost over $1000.

I wonder if there is any additional RFI signals being generated with the LED lights. I have been very conscious of this problem with my Ham Radio being used in my OFF-ROAD trailer having the LED boards installed in the ceiling that had built-in regulators... Made me trade out my expensive LED boards in 2009 for cheap ones from China that did not have the built-in regulator chips...

I have noticed that pulling up behind some of the tractor trailer trucks I seem to get RFI signals from something. I noticed most all of these truck trailers have the LED tail light assemblies...

Just because the stealer charges you $750 doesn't mean they cost that much.

Keep in mind the after market LEDs may not generate enough heat to prevent ice from forming on those head lights ! Volumes on info on the subject on the Jeep Wrangler form !

Most people do start having problems seeing when it raining and at night. When that happens, time to try to avoid night driving, not just put bright lights in. This is a normal aging complaint. If you wear glasses, have the anti-glare option put on your lenses. It will help.
