I suspect that Cabin Bright uses the same panels that are available on eBay. Not all panels that are sold on eBay are created equal. If you are going the eBay route, buy a few panels and try them out before buying many. Just because it has X number of 5050 LEDs doesn't mean it has Y lumens.

OK. Good thread. I've been looking for LEDs to put into fluorescent fixtures for under-cabinet lights. Those Cabin Bright sets of LED boards are a little costly, compared to similar boards from Ebay, and result is probably the same. It's all a big unknown Chinese bazaar, sellers come and go like flood waters in spring.

From bench testing most of mine they are pretty much at full brightness around 12/13 volts. They still work but start to get dimmer when they drop below 12 volts and most go out about 6/7 volts.

These LED lights have regulators built into them. The lumens remain pretty constant over that voltage range. Some also have a bridge rectifier and are AC/DC.

I just replaced the last two incandescents I had. The two 1383 reading bulbs over the bed. The originals drew 1.6 amps each and would cook you if you got within a foot of them. The LEDs draw .06 amps each and stay cool. I could run 26 of the new LEDs for the same current draw as one of the old 1383 incandescent ones.

x2 with Cabin Bright. Changed out all my tubes with LED's. Great light color and as mentioned great customer service.

There's a seller on Ebay that ships the led panels out of China. I bought 10 small panels for a project to light up a dark pantry. The 10 panels were under 30 bucks shipped. This seller has panels with the various plugs to retrofit just about any light fixture. They take about 2 weeks however. Here's more info if you need it:
