Front to back of the refrigerator is not very sensitive to off level, with the exception of older Dometic models, where the freezer evaporator tubing sticks out in to the freezer and has a shelf bolted to it.
But... while level is what we talk about for absorption refrigerators, until now that has been the only way to guess that the refrigerant is circulation properly, proper circulation is what we are after. The ARP refrigerator control actually monitors the boiler temperature very accurately, shutting off the heat source before damage can occur- then restarting and monitoring the temp.
Bottom line- we really don't care about level, we just care that the refrigerant is circulating properly, and the ARP control lets us monitor that, while preventing damage, which is cumulative.
Chris, you need to rephrase your comment.
"Bottom line- we really don't care about level, we just care that the refrigerant is circulating properly"
WE DO CARE if the refer is level as the circulation is dependant on being level within the specs. If NOT level within specs, the circulation is inhibited and there is no real way to determine how out of level you are when in transit and stopping for a little while. Going inside and using a level takes more time than just shutting the refer OFF and then ON again. The ARP control has been out there for awhile, but I have yet to see one on a customers RV. Doug
