Mexican Way?
Drive without lights on a moonlit night. See headlights of oncoming cars and trucks.
Works fantastic
Until you meet someone doing the same thing...
Made in Mexico electrical wire is garbage as is. And expensive. Terminals are scarce and look like they were made in the Democratic Republic Of The Congo.
And when things fail to light or work is when you need them the worst.
Pop bottles?
Great fix. Fill with cane alcohol. Aguardiente. Drink. Pretty soon you won't give a damn whether things work or not...
I almost forgot the Harley Way. "Strip the wires back enough to tie a square knot" Then wrap the up with any adhesive tape.

Don - mlts22Explorer IIWhat about Plasti-Dip? I have thought about using that to completely seal crimp joints and ends tied together using twist on wire nuts.
- MM49ExplorerDo it he Mexican way. Insert the terminated wires in a pop bottle, and duct tape the bottle to the cable. Make sure you follow Mexican code TTaco-001 and place the pop bottle facing up.
MM49 - Snowman9000ExplorerHow is the dis-assembly with either ScotchKote or liquid tape? I'm talking screw terminals, bolt/stud terminals, that sort of thing.
- LittleBillExploreruse liquid tape on ATV winches, these things see extreme abuse, 7+ years and 0 issues with it coming off
- sljkansasExplorerI've been using Scotch 33+ for over 30 years. I used it when I was installing antennas on grain evevators. Used it to hold the coax to the metal ladders so the coax wouldn't blow around and it will hold in hot and cold weather. Some places the tape is still there.
- OldmeExplorerUsed it years ago on a boat trailer at the submerged lights.
Had the boat and trailer for 4-5 years with no problems.
Now usw it on the tow dolly.
