Liquid Electrical Tape? Lifespan?

The subject matter line says it all. A question: When does the stuff age and fall off? Is there something even better than genuine original 3M Liquid Electrical Tape? Does black endure as long as Red?
  • What about Plasti-Dip? I have thought about using that to completely seal crimp joints and ends tied together using twist on wire nuts.
  • I used it all the time in the bilge of our sailboat. Kept the electrical connections from corroding.

  • Mexican Way?

Drive without lights on a moonlit night. See headlights of oncoming cars and trucks.

    Works fantastic

Until you meet someone doing the same thing...

Made in Mexico electrical wire is garbage as is. And expensive. Terminals are scarce and look like they were made in the Democratic Republic Of The Congo.

And when things fail to light or work is when you need them the worst.

    Pop bottles?

Great fix. Fill with cane alcohol. Aguardiente. Drink. Pretty soon you won't give a damn whether things work or not...

I almost forgot the Harley Way. "Strip the wires back enough to tie a square knot" Then wrap the up with any adhesive tape.
