- BB_TXNomadI have used it and seems it will last a long time. But I prefer to use shrink tubing when possible.

Roofing tar wrapped in a rag works well and you don't have to heat it. - ksg5000ExplorerBored?

- Dusty_RExplorer3M has a product called Scotch Coat, it's been out for a long time. It comes in a can with brush in cap. After it's been opened it will leak out if it tips over in your tool box. It's like a real thick shellac. It seal thanks very well. Over many years it will dry out in it's can.
I've never used liquid tape, but in my book something taped an then coated with Scotch Coat is very hard to beat.
