Loud Noise then Breaker trips when running Airconditioner

The box is the converter. See if you can get a make and model off it,
Why it is suddenly making a loud noise I do not know, Damon often uses good quality converters that should not do that.

now, you said the A/C trips a breaker when you run on shore power.... but works fine on Genny.

This suggests a shore power issue. (low voltage) this will also affect the converter.
