They system needs to be checked around the transfer switch. Bad contact or loose neutral would be first check.
A loose neutral can cause an increase in amperage that can trip a circuit breaker. A/C may sounds like it is working correctly but maybe effected by a problem in the system.
It could just fine on genset as that system is not effected because the problem is in the shore power portion only.
