Low temperature LI battery

Big deal, Tesla Motors HAS been doing this for years.

Additionally, totally stupid to have to use a considerable amount of electrical energy TO HEAT a LI battery just to be able to charge the battery in low temperature settings. No one is willing to give up exactly how much energy is used before, during and after charging just to keep the LI battery in the "safe zone" either..

Relion mentions possibility an hr of heating BEFORE charging starts, are you willing to run a generator for 1 additional hr? That is time that a standard lead acid battery would be charging and most likely an hr LESS of charging would be needed for a LA..

Face it, ALL batteries have advantages and disadvantages, if you are into extreme cold weather camping and don't wish to run a gen for an hr or more additional JUST TO HEAT THE BATTERY then LI technology is not for you..
