LP regulator at altitude

Does a LP regulator maintain a constant 11"+/- WC pressure as altitude increases? It would seem that as atmospheric pressure decreases that less force would be exerted on the diaphragm thereby changing the pressure.

  • Don't know what the actual pressure change is, but ours works fine from a few hundred feet above sea level up to 8,600 feet in Colorado where we go every summer. Can't tell any difference in the operation of the furnace, range top burners, oven, or water heater.
