Yes. Like when I proofed the "Holy Grail" of battery maintenance, PULSE CHARGING DESULFATION. Remember that? I had people ready to invest six figures and I refused them all. Flat "NO!"
AND I did have an associate editor of the WSJ contact me for opinions in 1990 a scant few months before I was hospitalized.
"They" wanted it so bad they could taste it.
I set a baseline track and I would be damned if they did not stop pestering me.
On single group 24 Trojan and Ramcar batteries I performed over 600 tests at various frequencies and E amplitude. To me it was curiosity. Several vendors were kind enough to pay for equipment and programming. One paid the enormous SCE electrical bills for about a year. Not a cent went into my pocket while many dollars were extracted out of my pocket.
Nothing meaning 0.0% improved ampacity or capacity over baseline. You bet I was saddened not for fame or fortune but for a chance to really reduce waste.
"Maybe you missed something" one fellow whined as we headed out to the concrete containment pad. I turned up the frequency to the megahertz range and applied ten amperes to the DUT. Electrolyte shot almost three feet in the air
I think not. I replied.
High freq destroyed plate material. My baseline battery charged best with DC voltage <1 mv. Twenty years later Rolls battery states this plainly as does Concorde. NO RIPPLE. It isn't important enough to me to make a fuss about.
My conscious is clear. I have no worries about car bombs or sucker punches. The IRS did after argument let me declare my expenses as a legitimate deduction.
To the oscillating magnetism group. ON WHAT SCALE is this being tested at? Most things demonstrated on micro scale fall flat on their face when faced with reality perspective.
