First, you shouldn't be climbing on the end of a breaker bar. One slip might be one broken hip and that would cause a disruption in your Forum activity. I'm not done listening, yet. :B
I'm getting older and weaker, too, but I haven't found a nut that won't come loose using a breaker bar and 4' cheater pipe. The trick is finding the right size and style of pipe. My current cheater pipe is 1" ID heavy wall and is 3' long.
One conundrum I ran into is Ford alloy rims against the steel rotor. The first time I encountered the stuck wheel, I beat on it with a 6x6 and a maul. A quick call to my diesel mechanic buddy got me the easy procedure: heat the rim inside diameter with a propane torch and throw a glass of cold water on it. The rims nearly fall off when doing it this way.
