11 year old unit? NO WARRANTY. You can use the Brisk Air with your existing control package. Ducted Versus non-ducted makes no difference on the top main unit. It has to do with the inside plenum package. IF you go NEW Penguin, your existing control package will NOT work with it as the NEW Penguins have the control package built in and is for a 12 button wall CCC tstat system. Now, if you have the 5 button LCD wall Wall tstat, then go with the new Penguin and just purchase a new 12 button wall tstat. Doug
