I see someone has installed a line tap which means you had a leak in the system. Line taps will eventually leak. I would just replace the complete upper unit and save future problems. Doug
Believe me, I am considering that for the future if and when someday I lose all the freon. However, right now, it is full of freon and not leaking. It is firing up, but without the fan working, I cannot cool the coach.
I would get a new roof unit, however, if that silver control box is messed up, it's not going to fix anything, and I found out, that new roof units do not come with new control boxes. So I would hate to fork out over $500 on a new unit at this point, install it, and it still not work. However, if I have to replace both, I may consider doing it.
