The reason I asked if you had the Fantastic instead of a Maxxair. Fantastic Fans use a metal pin switch on TOP only access by removing the Maxxair cover and opening the vent lid. You will see a short wire from the motor to that metal pin switch. That Pin switch supplies the GROUND to the fan Motor. Using a 7/16 wrench to tighten that pin switch about 3/4 turn and that will stop a loose intermittant ground that will cause your problem. The fuse holder WILL get hot and by pushing on the fuse holder you slightly flex the plastic vent housing causing that fan to run for a little while. Doug
