MaxxFan auto door closer fail

I have a Maxxfan 4751KS. The auto close door motor fails to stop after the lid is closed. It will pop(gears jumping) about 6 times and then stops. Anyone exp. similiar problem?

That’s why I bought the low level Fantastic fan. You bought the fancy one. They break.
