Member of the Splendide broken handle club.

DW announced that the handle broke on the Splendide.

I Googled it and it turns out to be a common problem.

We have been in Amish Country for a few months now and are leaving next week so I found on on Amazon for $59 Prime, "ship today" so went that route.

Could have saved some by shopping around but wanted it sooner than later.

You have to take the door off and getting all the pieces lined up was a challenge but it is all done now.

    The handle that opens the door. I had to end up replacing ours twice over the years. Not a major job to replace, but you have to play with the pin and spring.

    Mine is a 2100S but I think they are all the same. Ours is a 2005 and it gets used often, almost daily.

    The part should cost $5 OR $10, not $50.

    Amish country is ambiguous.
    The largest population of Amish is in Ohio.
    Next is Pennsylvania
    then Indiana
    then New York.
    All have substantial Amish communities
