Coconuts AGGGHHHHHH Saturated Fat! Death!
Tell that to 100 year old south seas islanders, the Thais and everyone else where coconuts makes up a significant percentage of their diet.
Warranty Void if battery is not fully recharged before starting engine (rebuilt alternator tag)
You can disprove stuff yourself. Add maximum voltage (saturated voltage) charging. After a half hour run your hand across the battery. Touch the lead terminals (posts)
Are they very warm? No?
Then what's bad happening in the battery? KARMA? Juju? Snot virus?
Telecom batteries have higher resistance. You can verify this with a battery test impedance meter. They do not CCA like a standard AGM.
It ends up as percentage relativity. If a 100 amp hour telecom is supposed to be charged at ONE FOURTH the maximum amperage percentage of the same amp hour rated AGM 26/100
Then the ratio has the limit of one fourth the CCA discharge and limitation on DIScharge and many AGMs including the Lifeline are restricted CCA units. I believe the 31XT is something like 600 CCA.
Oooooo a 150 ampere discharge limit must be observed.
There is no battery on the face of the earth that does not surrender cycle life if maximum vabs are applied to the charging regimen.
It all goes back to
Choose one
Pay hundreds of dollars in added fuel cost to save thirty dollars in battery life.
Telecom batteries expect to resume being charged with 24/7 power after an outage. It would be stupid to apply a charge rate more than what is needed to get the job done in four hours (savvy the logic here?)
Do as you wish but please omit chanting the mantra in public. It is foolish. Do the temperature Delta T gain with max vabs. Well either the battery gets too warm or it doesn't. Impedance vs chemical is not voodoo. Electro chemical is not conducive to nailing dead chickens upside down on the lab door. Heat is a tattle-tale an important tattle-tale.
I remember the various tribal ceremonies involved in "breaking in" a new engine. They could have been written in Haiti or Rwanda. Non-detergent oil, no steady speeds, back all the way off the throttle at times to suck-up oil into the rings. Hare Krishna Hare Rama Ommmmmmmmmmmmm! Don't bathe after eating watermelon. My favorite continues to be the loss of warranty unless the battery is recharged before starting engine with a rebuilt alternator.
With my Meanwell chargers, avoid exceeding amperge.
Meanwhile do not test those telecoms for excess hear -- perpetuate the mantra. And avoid using with microwave ovens to boot.
Sheesh!
