I am somewhat inclined to believe to 50A limit of my Eatons. I have not seen them at retail. Most likely they are installed by trained staff. I am more inclined to believe the 50A is actually an optimal rate. These batteries spend their time indoors and likely don't experience temperature changes.
My log shows a temperature range of -13 to 45C for the bank in the van this year. Try to pick a fixed ABS Voltage/Current for that!
I can say without looking that the ABS at -13C was 15V because I set that as max. On 2018-07-20, the charge controller set the ABS at 12.89V based on the the battery temp of 45C which is 20C above a baseline 14.4V at 25C. Actually, charging was suspended as the Amps logged were 0.002415771484375 which is essentially zero.
IMHO the optimal charge Voltage/Current are not constants.
