Mobile Outfitters Black Keyless Entry RV Lock System
Email sent due to issues with keypad lock. As we all know with the exception of the full-timers how many weekends do you even use the lock! Ok so the one on your vehicle you may use say three times a day, and it still works right...and how much did you pay for your RV...ok as much or more than the car with the JUNK lock....so what gives don't put this JUNK on our RV's and if you do put something on it put one on that will last or replace it if it does not!!!! I'm so tired of the RV industry destroying itself!
So here is the e-mail I sent to LIPPERT:
I purchased a Dutchmen RV (Toyhauler) and took delivery in Jan 2013 it was equipped with the following 'remote" entry lock. (Mobile Outfitters Black Keyless Entry RV Lock System) It was a great system, but with use it seems the plastic on the keypad for the lock and unlock button has cracked to the point of not allowing access to the coach
RESPONSE FROM LIPPERT:
Good morning! We thank you for providing your opinion. We can only grow from this. The reason why you were directed to our parts department so quickly is the touch pad is not defective. The touch pad performed its job for an entire year. Normal wear and tear on the buttons (WHAT 6 times last year!) have caused them to crack. Lippert stands behind its product. Had our product failed during the warranty period, due to a Lippert issue, we would have more than accommodated your needs. What assistance would you like going forward in regard to this keypad issue.
