Moisture Meter

What is a good moisture meter? I have seen two, pin and pinless. What is the difference? Are they good at checking for interior wall moisture as well as floors?

I'm always concerned about leaks and want to use one as a preventive measure.

    I have a pinless Mannix moisture meter from Costco. I use it on floors, walls and ceilings. I think it does a good job.

    The pin type meter must be slightly pushed into the wood or material being tested. which can leave makes.
    A pinless meter just is just held against the area being tested.
