I've seen 37 amps, max out of my PD9245. It drops off rather quickly. A warmed up Honda Eu1000i will grunt pretty good when you first turn a PD9245 on, but it quickly seems to drop off on the amps, and the load on the motor, usually for me in 10 -12 minutes, to something less obnoxious and noisy. A hard working Honda EU1000i does tend to bark kind of loud on a quiet morning, but not for long with this charge controller.
Set at 15.0V on my Mega Watt 30 amp power supply unit, I get about 700 to 740 watts showing on my kil a watt meter, when first started. Again, the amps tend to come down, albeit slowly with this unit. For some reason, keeping the voltage at 15.0V really seems to hold the amps up while charging with the Eu1000i. I attribute it to battery chemistry on the sweeper battery allowing such a charge rate for a 150AH battery and a smaller ah capacity power supply in relation to the total capacity of the battery.
