OP replied in 2nd post "he/she is plugged into house outlet right now". So unless home breaker tripped, 120 AC should be available.
An older 15A circuit may not handle the wattage of the fireplace for a lengthy time.
If meter shows current to fireplace hookup source, the fireplace may have expired.
