- LynnandCarolExplorerI believe NAPA batteries are made by East Penn Manufacturing. But they change so often! At one time it was Exide.
- midnightsadieExplorer IIlow bidder, same with wal mart and offer auto parts stores.
- MEXICOWANDERERExplorerJust keep in mind East Penn's presence on the Left Coast is limited. US Battery aggressively stalks the rebranding market.

Doe not matter where East Penn is present.
NAPA, and the battery warranty is nationwide. - OH48LtExplorerMade by Johnson Controls right up the street from me. From their webpage:
http://www.johnsoncontrols.com/content/us/en/products/power-solutions/battery-brands.html
"Johnson Controls is the leading supplier of batteries to many of the largest aftermarket battery retailers, including Advance Auto Parts, DAISA S.A., AutoZone, Costco, NAPA, Interstate Batteries, Walmart and more. Powering virtually every type of passenger car, light truck and utility vehicle, our batteries are globally sold under private labels, as well as our own brands – VARTA®, Heliar®, LTH®, MAC® and OPTIMA®." - 72cougarxr7ExplorerThe NAPA batteries at my local NAPA here in Watertown NY are East Penn, also know as Deka. Very good quality. They used to be Exide which were so so. It may be different suppliers, regionally, not really sure.

Who makes the batteries for NAPA ?
Why buy from NAPA?
If you have a Sam's club or Costco handy THAT is the place to buy batteries..
Autoparts places like NAPA tend to exist in those out of the way places that no one else is willing to go, they are able to CHARGE more for parts because of the lack of competition.
If no Sam's or Costco handy then go to Walmart.. They are everywhere and the battery prices are much lower than NAPA.. - Dusty_RExplorerWe have a new mh with a one NAPA house battery. I would like to add a second battery, parralled. I like Deka batteries. So if this NAPA is made by Deka that would be a good way to go.
Thanks,

So, you have a USED battery and you are adding a NEW battery?
Since your existing battery is not brand new you are basically wasting money by excessively worrying about the manufacturer of said battery..
Your new battery capacity will be affected by the existing used battery and most likely both batteries will not charge at the same rate nor will they discharge at the same rate.. They are only as good as the WEAKEST in the chain..
Not to mention every battery (even from the same batch) will have slightly different charge/discharge rates..
I would not pay the extra money for a NAPA, Sears DiHard ect..
Go to Sam's or Costco and get what battery size will fit your space.. It WILL work just as well..
