What truck do you have? If it's a compact that doesn't need a lot of amps to spin the starter, there are industrial AGM's that may fit your use. An AGM definitely fits your usage, I left one idle over a Minnesota winter, outside, and the SOC was still at 12.4 or so after 6 months. It was probably stored less than 100% SOC, also.
