Need alternative to TriMetric 2025

Morning, Been awhile since I posted. We now have a 2010 Laredo 316RL and love it. I installed two 6v batteries and would like to follow up with a monitor of some sort. I like the features of the TriMetric 2025 however I would like to explore other options. I have seen a Victron Energy Precision Battery Monitor BMV-600S and wonder if anyone has any other suggestions? Don't want to spend to much and need to invoke the "kiss" principle. Thanks!

  • I have the Victron BMV-600 and it installs easily. Mine came with shunt and wiring, also. Victron will also calculate for Peukert effect if you need that for your usage.
  • Thanks Matt, that is a great start! Installation is certainly a major part the kiss principle. Now I if someone had road experience with them that would help?
  • I do (did - before the depression) boat work and installed Xantrex, Victron and Bogart. The Victron is easier to mount because it goes in a round hole. Xantrex goes in round hole and is somewhat easier to program. The Bogart (Trimetric) is most straight forward to program, but flush mounting is a real trick. Those are the three I know. All the owners are very pleased with which ever they bought. I can't help you past that.

    Matt
