NEED HELP MECHANICAL ISSUE (possibly transmission)

If you can physically remove the linkage from the transmission, you should be able to move the gearshift lever, if you can't then the problem is with the linkage. You can test the transmission by moving the part were the linkage was attached. Of course chock the wheels before crawling under.
