Need help replacing charging circuit solenoid.

Last weekend I was driving down the road and my voltage started dropping off while driving. I assumed I had a bad alternator, so I stopped and bought a new one and replaced it, and it did not help. ...

As Enblethen said, it should be the same as the old standard Ford unit. Go to any auto parts store and ask to see a starter solenoid. You should be readily able to match it.
