Need help replacing charging circuit solenoid.

Last weekend I was driving down the road and my voltage started dropping off while driving. I assumed I had a bad alternator, so I stopped and bought a new one and replaced it, and it did not help. ...

You are right. I'll see if that works. It is a long run of #10 from the solenoid/starter to the house though. Solenoid is up front with the engine battery.
