Parallax says to replace the 950 with a 7400 series (deck mount) but now that is going out of production replaced by the 5400 series deck mount ---they are expensive compared with other brand deck mounts available.

IMO a good replacement at low cost for a rig being sold, is the older version of the PowerMax converters (PM3 series- new is PM4 series) such as the 55amper at $115 here

I too am a big fan of the Progressive Dynamics Intella power and the 9260 would be the model I'd recommend. When I got my motor home I researched several components.

The Microwave, for example, was a Dometic, actually made by LG, none worse (LG = Lousy Goods and the number of LG products Ive had... Well, several, the number that have worked right out of the box. ZERO, the number that work right after modification, Said microwave, I re-designed part, substutited a GE part for one of the poorly designed LG parts and made a few other changes, it works now).

The Converter: Progressive Dynamics Intella power 9180 with optional wizard (The wizard is built into the 9200 series) And I have yet to find a better one.

I found several that came close to it, some close enough to say "Just as good" but I have yet to find one better IOTA with IQ4.. As good as the 9200.. but the 9200 with the optional dongle.. BETTER (The dongle gives you manual override of the mode, can't do that with the ITOA. NOTE, the charge wizard on the 9180 also gives you that ability).

I am, however, biased in favor of PDI.. Grew up about 12 miles away, My mother once did a consult job for them (She was a computer expert it turns out, though by title, an accountant (head of accounting for a neighboring firm, but PDI called her in to solve a computer problem, which she solved).

I cannot believe anyone would recommend an unreliable WFCO, much less a little 35a power supply in a 38 ft MH.

I 3rd the PD9260,........and buy it off Ebay and save some money.

I will second the Progressive Dynamics which are made in the US. Do a search on WFCO (made in China) and PD problems and you will see a stark contrast. PD has a very good reputation and WFCO not so good.

Low cost and decent IMO is 35a WFCO

Progressive dynamics 9260 is a great unit.
