Many will argue, but even though I have gotten away with it, a single 2000w generator will not reliably run an air conditioner. I made it work for a few trips before I got the second EU2000, but I had to be careful how I started the A/C and I could not run anything else. All the while you are wondering which will give up first, the generator for being overloaded or the compressor from low voltage.
