OK, I'll bite :W ... WHY no charge line from the truck to the trailer? :h And since you say you have no charge line WHY would you be surprised the batteries are drawn down as much as they are? :h After all, that's what a charge line is designed to help avoid. ;)
No Idea, I've owned pop-up, and Areolite and now the Open Range. None have had a charge line or any ability to charge the batteries while under way. Guess just my ignorance but I thought this was the norm with TT's. Through all these years, I've never had a battery (even single 12 volt) deplete during a days drive whether 4 hours or 14 hours. The only thing using battery in any real capacity is the frig fan.
