No charging from vehicle in this set-up. At least not supposed to be, vehicle power only running lights and jack but no charging at all to TT batteries.

OK, I'll bite :W ... WHY no charge line from the truck to the trailer? :h And since you say you have no charge line WHY would you be surprised the batteries are drawn down as much as they are? :h After all, that's what a charge line is designed to help avoid. ;)

No Idea, I've owned pop-up, and Areolite and now the Open Range. None have had a charge line or any ability to charge the batteries while under way. Guess just my ignorance but I thought this was the norm with TT's.
What in the world are you talking about? :h Any trailer wired with a 7-pin Bargman which has been the de facto standard for recreational vehicles for at least 15 yrs now has a charge line > Pin 4 as I previously mentioned. As long as you've got +12 volts on that pin from the tow vehicle you've got a charge line as Pin 4 on the trailer will feed that + 12 volts back to the trailer in order to maintain a charge on the battery. Unless these trailers you've owned have been much older than this or were wired with something less than a Bargman connector they did have a charge line. :R
