What are her correct 77F setpoints anyway?
You have already linked to the correct charging voltages in this thread: http://www.rv.net/forum/index.cfm/fuseaction/thread/tid/28942839.cfm 14.4V absorb and 13.6V float are correct for 25C/77f.
I wonder if Holly has confirmed that the liquid on top of the battery is electrolyte? I know it sounds weird but I have seen a whole division of a company shutdown from Gatorade on parts. I would think that introducing baking soda onto the liquid will cause a chemical reaction with a lot of foaming if it is battery acid, FWIW, I've popped a vent on an AGM and there wasn't a large distribution of liquid like that.
The good news is that the Mfg has a three month return/replacement warranty.
