newbie trying to build solar system on a budget

hello everyone.....I was pointed here from popupportal as I am trying to create a decent pv system.....I used to work at a manufacturing plant and so I have 72 cell 240 ish watt panel i am trying to u...

just went outside and threw meter on panels

60 cell made 37 volts and 6.8 amps
72 cell mix and match made 45 volts and 9.5 amps
all voc an isc but pretty decent on cold but pretty sunny day
that's 251 watts for 60 cell
and a whopping 427 watts for 72.....if that's right that's nuts
