This is common when there is a television set where the driver could possibly see it. That outlet is disabled when the MH engine is running. If it is a towable RV, this does not apply.
This is not a function of shutting the inverter off, the inverter will remain on until it is turned off at the inverter itself or its remote control.
Turning the TV off when the ignition is on is a function of the interlock device that the TV is plugged into.
