No brake lights! Very frustrating.
We have a 2007 Ford E450 chassis motorhome.
For some dang reason the brake lights are not working.
The fuse (#11) is good AND the hazards are working properly. The running lights are working. Bulbs are likewise good.
I checked the brake switch, which is functioning properly. Voltage at the switch harness is 12v. I even shorted the connector to the brake switch, and, nothing.
I checked to see if there is ground from the chassis to the bulb-holders and that looked good.
I've always thought of brake lights as a fairly straightforward thing: battery, switch, lights. I'm not really familiar with the E450's electrical system, but apparently there is one extra step in the circuit that I'm missing.
Any ideas? I'm stuck in Lusk, Wyoming until I get to the bottom of this.
