No heat in bedroom

Reading through the literature, we've found that our heater is a propane heater, not electric. Interesting that they should do this in a 5th wheel that has the arctic package. But anyway...when we were setting up our 5th wheel, it was discovered that there is a problem with the propane auto-crossover and the regulator. The red pop-up indicator that reveals the cylinder is empty was showing, and after I filled the tank, it didn't change. So, I s'pose we'll get a couple of electric space heaters and tackle the propane system tomorrow.

Rv furnaces are propane because they are 'self contained'....don't need AC power to function. Electric heat would require AC power at all times otherwise....no heat.

Artic Package can mean most anything......increased insulation values, enclosed underbelly, heated waste tanks via a furnace duct into space, heater pads (maybe) etc.

The propane auto change over regulator...
If you have both tanks valved in service the first tank valved in will be the one used until empty then regulator will swap to the other valved in tank.

The Red/Green indicator is just that..an indicator.
The lever doesn't do anything but changes ports so pressure can move the RED/GREEN Indicator
Turn the lever to point to first in service tank (GREEN shows). When that take goes empty the indicator turns from GREEN to RED. You then swap lever over so it points to other tank and RED turns to GREEN.

Then (this is IMPORTANT) get the empty tank filled :B

Well, now we have Idahoan cold temps here in Western Washington. Could it be that our unit just can't keep up? It's supposed to have the arctic package, so you'd think it could.
Rather than undertake an expensive search and fix, I think I'm going to buy an oil-filled space heater for the bedroom. That should make it fine.

Not trying to be too much of a wise a**,but Pasco isn't really considered western Washington. I live in Silverdale and that's western Washington. Living in Pasco, you still have Idaho temps.

Not thinking you were being a wise ***. Pasco is in eastern Washington, and we are in Everett, which is Western Washington. Idaho is another universe, and is neither eastern nor western Washington.

I apologize, but if you look at your user name, it says you're in Pasco. Silverdale is just north of Bremerton and even has an REI, Trader Joe's, Costco, but no Walmart. Don't need one anyway. Bremerton and Poulsbo wanted it.

Our bedroom is the furthest from the furnace in our class A. As the warm air travels a further distance in the cold ducts (starting out) it makes sense to me that at first the air is not as warm as at the other vents and the airflow is not as hard either. After the furnace has run for a little, the air is nice and warm, but less airflow than the main living area. We haven't tried heating to 80, but I'm sure it would do it, it would just run a lot and use tons of propane if it were winter and cold out.

Once the rear of the rig is warm,you might try shutting down some of the vents thewre and try to force more air flow to the bedroom. Of course the other fix would be to get a small space heater for the bedroom.

That's good advice. What's happened since I started this thread was that the heat quit period. There's heat coming out of the exhaust, but with the thermostat set at 90, the metal of the registers started getting warm, but 4" above the registers the air was cold.
We've got the $110/hr repairman coming out Monday morning, again, to try and figure it out. Also our water froze again.
I think we need time with things working correctly to know what's going on. Right now, we don't know how much problems are caused by the fact that the nighttime temps are in the teens, and daytime temps barely above freezing, and what is actually problems with the 5th wheel.

Low gas flow/gas pressure....either due to faulty regulator or gas pressure not properly set (11" WC with at least 50% of other gas appliances in service....better if ALL are on when setting pressure)
