I didn't think it was a putdown. I dont know why it iffed me. Forget about it. Heh. I'm full-blown nerd and really embrace that, apparently a tad too much.
I've actually been fiddling with this problem for about a week. I was also hoping that by posting someone may point something out that I haven't noticed. If I do any work on anything, I'm going to cut the power as I have been. And check it with a multimeter and a voltage detector. I'm hella paranoid about getting shocked despite knowing when power isnt flowing.

wait a minute. he says that his shore cord has a female end where it hooks to the supply pedestal and male on the other? were they building them upside down back then?
I think we need pictures.

Yeah. I thought that was weird. The power adapter is male-to-male as well. I was gonna just unplug the adapter and plug into 50A power, but nope. It's a female.
There are a lot of strange things that have been done to this RV that my parents didn't put research into. The water heater and furnace was assumed to be broken. Turns out it was a bad LPG detector that wasn't triggering the solenoid. There's a lot of things like that, that have super simple fixes. Then there's the horrible oxidation and the engine that doesn't pass smog.
Don't get me wrong, the RV is really nice and in great shape for it's age. I've really enjoyed fixing it up but hot damn, she can be quite a burden sometimes.
Sorry. I'm talkative today.
