Yeah. I thought that was weird. The power adapter is male-to-male as well. I was gonna just unplug the adapter and plug into 50A power, but nope. It's a female.
There are a lot of strange things that have been done to this RV that my parents didn't put research into. The water heater and furnace was assumed to be broken. Turns out it was a bad LPG detector that wasn't triggering the solenoid. There's a lot of things like that, that have super simple fixes. Then there's the horrible oxidation and the engine that doesn't pass smog.
Please, please, please get rid of the male to male widowmaker adapter right now (if you have not done so already) and put a proper male plug on the shore cord for the RV! There is a reason why these male to male cables are called widowmakers or suicide cables.
