Noisy Refig

Our DM2862LBFX refrigerator makes a very annoying sound during the hottest time of the day. It was 90 here today ( Tucson) and near that yesterday. During the afternoons until just about sundown we get the noise. It doesn't really sound like a fan. Something else, but can't say what it is.
Refig seems to be working ok. Any thoughts about the noise?
  • Our 2014 four door Dometic makes a humming noise when fans are running. Does not sound like a fan.
  • This noise, I wish I could post a recording of it, doesn't sound like a bad fan.
I will have to get a ladder and have a look in the vent openings to see if the fan is making something vibrate. If there is nothing else mechanical in there, then I guess it was to be connected to the fan somehow.
  • The ONLY moving parts on an RV Absorption Fridge would be cooling fan(s) located mid-center of the cooling unit (backside of fridge).

Fan(s) are installed (needed) when fridge is installed in a slide out.

Fan(s) are even installed to improve draft (air flow) needed for proper cooling

Fan(s) are controlled by a t-stat located on condenser (fins at top) and turn on fan(s) when fill temp reaches 150*F and turn back off when fin temp drops below 130*F (Dometic uses higher temp t-stat....lower ones available)

Fan(s) can be VERY noisy especially when failing/dirty etc.

Depending on access.......most times one has to partially remove fridge to get to fan(s)

Course you are aware of the fan(s) based on previous posts about your fridge
