non-CARB compliant in CA

If I am visiting areas in CA do I have to have a CARB compliant generator?

I searched the forums, but couldn't find an answer to this simple question. So if it's a repeater, then I'm sorry! :)

Thanks!

And my personal favorite California nuttiness:
They wanted to ban male circumcision because it "mutilates" but also allow late term abortions, which I guess doesn't "mutilate."

Where they outlawed the sale of pennyroyal oil, one of the most effective insect repellents known because a few idiots were drinking it.

Your generator will be legal. Like was mentioned only SALES of intelligent items are banned. CARB insists chemical laced gasoline that reduces mileage 10% is good for the environment so it becomes expensive state law. Buy your gasoline outside California.
  • No, you do not. If you were to purchase one in California it would have to be CARB.
