Norcold 12 and 120 volt fridge

My fridge is labeled "Avanti" , like the car
And it is 7.5 CuFt, 90~~100w running
So that one would use about 1/2 the power while running
3.7 amps 12v just under 48w

If you shop around the Avant is under $300

Dometic supposedly makes a DMC 2642 which is a 120/12 volt compressor model that is an exact replacement for the RM/DM2652/2662.
I say supposedly, as the only thing I have is a power point page and press release, other than that, I cannot find them.

My Vestfrost eighteen cubic foot freezer unit consumes about 50 ampere hours a day. In 90F ambient and -5F contents temp. It uses a Danforth 24 volt compressor. 12 volt amp hours would be doubled.

But insulation and weight are massive.

From their website, but w/o cycle time, etc both figures could be correct.

The online chat quoted me 5.8 amps @ 12 volts.

They don't do consumption testing. Goodness knows why.

I think you may mean Sun Frost. None of them will fit (and Samsung says they don't make one that small).

OK did find 3.2A @12V. Considering it's size that is consistent with the larger Samsungs which use 100-150Ah per day (inverter usage). But hard to say as the environment, efficiency and insulation are factors.

I had a similar unit 12V/120V in my boat and it used a 32V motor for the compressor. Used it for 20 years, always on w/o a problem.

I had no concerns about 12V power usage. I did check the manual of the posted unit and did not find any power usage, period.
