there are a few things you should check first, make sure the flame is strong and proper, if not clean ithe burner and the orfice with a small brush and vaccume. a build up of rust and carbon can make it more suceptable to blow out. the second is the thermal couple, make sure it is working in top shape, if it is week it could cause this also. if thoes are fine then look at baffeling

I had an older Class A a long time ago that the flame for the fridge would blow out going down the road. Pretty consistent but worked fine when parked. We usually ran the genny so I never bothered to research it. I just figured it wasn't a huge deal and the wind was the culprit. I had another class A of a similar model that it never blew out. Since then all my RVs have had electric fridges.

I always need to question the flame blowout theory. If I test the idea on my Dometic, it simply reignites. It will take many re-ignition failures before it goes to lockout. It would take a very long sustained gust to cause a problem. When I had a unit going to lockout, a new Dinasaur board was the cure.

depends on the fridge, most of the old ones didn't re-ignight, like mine, or they tried three times and saftey out.

I have the same issue with my older one, it is one you have to hold the button down till it is going, then if you get a gust of wind you have to push the button down till it re-lights. people have built baffels, taped up a bunch of the vents in the lower cover to preven gusts from entering, or instaled furnace filter material on the inside of the cover to difuse wind gusts. I usaly get it when I am traveling over 50mph and a big truck goes by in the opposit direction. I keep intending on trying to make some sort of baffel maybe this year.
