Pull the fridge out and look at the back. If it has a tall cylindrical compressor(Sawafugi), there will be a single lead going to the bottom with a "L" shaped plastic connector. Pull it off the pin and measure to ground with a voltmeter with the fridge turned on. There is a ground lug on the bottom of the compressor with two wires attached to it.You should measure aprox 23VAC. If you get that, the cooling unit( entire refrigerant system) is bad. Those compressors are not replaceable and if they were, the cost would far exceed the value of the unit.
