Norcold inside molded door liner

Got a question, couldn't find the answer doing a search but I'm sure I'm not the only one who's run into this problem.

After a trip on a rough road where my cooling unit sprung a leak on our Norcold 811 fridge, I've rebuilt it using an Amish unit and after 1 trip it's working great.
Only problem we have with the fridge now is the bottom tray of the fridge door fell off, it's the one that holds 2 litre (half gallon) milk bottles and I guess with the weight of them on that rough road the little molded tabs the door shelves slide onto broke off so now there's no way to use the bottom shelf.
Anyone run across this and if so how did you fix it? I'm thinking (hoping) there might be a glue on patch or something? So far I've not had any luck finding anything.

(I'll take some pics tonight and post them so you know what I'm talking about)
Thanks

Have beeen clicking around, looks like I might hae to buy a whole new door minus the raised wood panel, prices start at $140.

Mine did the same thing. I added a small piece of aluminium and held it in place with a couple of countersunk screws.

Put a little doublesided tape behind it for some added strength.

    Stronger than the orginal.

  • That one in the Amazon link looks like ours for an 821 and not like the OP one in the pic for an 811.
  • Ours is the Norcold 821 from 2002 or whenever (Trailer built Oct 02) and its door is not anything like that. So beware you get the right version if you swap parts.

Ours has a snap in rail only at the bottom, no tray, just the bottom of the door as a tray to hold those bigger jugs etc. The snap in rail goes in holes at each side with a ledge to keep it horizontal. You have a sort of ledge showing there, so a hole drilled and a replacement snap in rail for an 821 might do. Check out some 821s at an RV dealer to see the details/possibilities.
