Did you clean the flue? On mine, I took the top vent cover off and peeled back the first six inches of the screen from the roof vent. This way I can reach down and remove the air diverter. Then use a 1/2" wire brush or wad of foam on a coat hanger to run up and down the flue a few times. Just make sure it's been off a few hours if you use the foam or you will end up with a melted mess.
You may want to cover the burner area with a tissue to keep the soot from falling into the burner.
If your charge wire is heavy enough to provide 12-15 amps to the fridge while traveling down the road, yes. I do it on long travel days, but my custom wiring is capable of delivering 25 amps to the TC. Jusst remembeer, the N300 on DC is constant on, so it's possible to freeze everything in the fridge when it's cool outside.
