Norcold N300 won't stay lit

Hey all, new member, nice to meet you.

Norcold N300.3 will ignite on LP but shut down after 10-15 minutes. Any attempt afterward will shut down faster (Or immediately).

What I've done:
Cleaned the burner and chimney thoroughly, LP connections are tight and not leaking.

Tested thermocuple and found 27mv while running. Bypassed and removed interupter and tested to Find 0 ohms resistance. Flame would not stay lit with interupter installed and bypassed.

Depressed plunger on thermisistor and tested ends to find 0 ohms resistance.

With thermocouple/interrupter/thermistor removed I covered hole and ignited fridge, flame shut off after a few minutes.

Tried two different pressure regulators on two different tanks, no change in performance.

I'm unsure how to proceed next. I'm wondering if it might be the selector switch? And if there might be a test for that? I'm not seeing anything in the service manual.

Also curious if there is something in the temp control switch that could snuff the flame?

Thank you guys for any input.

  • You may need the N300 Interrupter-Selector Switch Wire Kit (Norcold Service Kit 628119). Had a similar problem in my 2004 LTV Free Spirit with N300.3 installed. Known issue

  • The selector switch is set to lp, I don't think fridge has ever been run off electricity.
  • Is the electric AUTO switch off. When plugged into shore power it must be off to run on gas or the fridge will auto select AC if it is available.
