- jjjandrbakerExplorerMine is charged by the truck. Great news! That means I can keep things cold between parks without messing with the ice chest.

Works fine on AC and DC.
Okay, I've said I'm stupid. Are you saying I can run my fridge off the battery while traveling from camp to camp? I have never wanted to do that, but in a week, I am going on a ten-night trip spending two nights at each of five parks. I thought you had to use gas then. I'm confused.
Jim,
If your truck charges the trailer battery, then you can run the fridge on 12V. I don't have full electrical hookup between my van and the trailer (I hooked up lights only), so I use propane for the fridge when travelling. - RJPHILLIPSExplorerGas pressure checked with gauge and was ok. Thermocouple and Interrupter replaced.
- RJPHILLIPSExplorerGas pressure has been checked for correct pressure, Thermocouple and interrupter replaced.

was the gas pressure checked with a gauge ?
replace the thermo coupler , not a fun job . the fridge has to be pulled out :( - FreeLanceingExplorer III struggled with mine, same unit, when I finally broke down and replaced the burner it solved the problem. I spent a couple years messing around. I replaced ever part on the thing. I cleaned brushed etc the exsisting burner only when I paid the 50$ for the new did it work fine. Its been 3-4 years now no issues.
- Reddog1Explorer IIMy fridge is a 3-way, AC/DC/LP. I never run it on DC, only AC and LP. Mine has a manual control.

Moderator - kohldadExplorer IIIDid you clean the flue? On mine, I took the top vent cover off and peeled back the first six inches of the screen from the roof vent. This way I can reach down and remove the air diverter. Then use a 1/2" wire brush or wad of foam on a coat hanger to run up and down the flue a few times. Just make sure it's been off a few hours if you use the foam or you will end up with a melted mess.
You may want to cover the burner area with a tissue to keep the soot from falling into the burner.
If your charge wire is heavy enough to provide 12-15 amps to the fridge while traveling down the road, yes. I do it on long travel days, but my custom wiring is capable of delivering 25 amps to the TC. Jusst remembeer, the N300 on DC is constant on, so it's possible to freeze everything in the fridge when it's cool outside.
