WRONG! The Freezer has no bearing on the lower temp. You must put the refer on MAX(5), run for 24 hours and then sample a small cup of water that was left in it. The Thermister operates the lower section and a bad cooling unit will usually get to 0 to 10 degrees in the freezer. 24 hours running is the standard test time for RV refers. Let us know after 24 hours. Doug

Ok I changed it to 4 and its 40 degs...ill chg to 5 and check in the morning and advise....would a "bad cooling unit" be cooling the fridge to 40 set on 4 ??
